Wake Up & Stretch: Your Morning Energy Boost

Feeling sluggish when the alarm goes off? A simple morning stretch routine can be your secret weapon to kickstart your day with renewed energy and a clearer mind. It’s an easy way to gently wake up your body, improve circulation, and set a positive tone for hours to come.

Ready to feel more vibrant? Here are a few simple stretches you can do right from your bedside to kickstart your energy:

  • Overhead Arm Stretch & Side Bend: Stand or sit tall. Interlace your fingers, press palms towards the ceiling, feeling a full body stretch. Then, gently bend your upper body to one side, holding for 15-20 seconds, before switching to the other side. This wakes up your core and sides.
  • Gentle Neck Tilts: Slowly tilt your head, bringing your right ear towards your right shoulder (avoid shrugging). Hold for 15-20 seconds, then repeat on the left side. Feel the release in your neck and upper traps.
  • Shoulder Rolls: Shrug your shoulders up towards your ears, then roll them back and down in a smooth, circular motion. Repeat 5-10 times forward, then 5-10 times backward. Great for easing tension.
  • Cat-Cow Flow: Get on your hands and knees (or seated if preferred). Inhale as you arch your back, dropping your belly and lifting your gaze (cow pose). Exhale as you round your spine towards the ceiling, tucking your chin (cat pose). Flow between these 5-10 times.
